OL,

I appologize. I was taking that statement from a different perspective. ROAC is listed in the portal as "extreme" and so i was taking what I thought was your perception and putting it in my perspective saying that ROAC is extreme because it does not participate with the likes of Modernists and Eccumenists.

I appologize. I was incorrect in my statements.

Amen! Not how we have them split up in the portal, but I like your definitions! :-D

Juv,

You thought I was in support of Ecumenism and Modernization?

well I have a somewhat different perspective on the matter. It is only in more modern times that "extreme" has become a bad word. Were not the judges in the Old Testament extreme in their hatred of Idolatry?

Of course the same goes for such words as "Primitive" which originally meant "original."

Thinking about my post last night, I realised that I was a bit hyperbolic. To say that I found the "C2K" thing offensive is overstating things. It'd be more accurate to say that I was suprised and let down by it. That we used acronyms for jurisdictions is perhaps not the greatest thing in the world, but it's at least an accepted thing in discussion. Are we now going to start using acronyms for bishops, though? I hope not! The Bishop who coined the "C2K" acronym thinks that Archbishop Chrysostom II is a fallen bishop; I would expect a bit more respect for Arch. Chrysostom from those who do consider him an Orthodox Bishop, though.

PS. Daniel -- I feel this way because of the origin of that acronym: I think it is purposely meant as a slight against Arch. Chrysostomos. That's my "opinion". The Bishop who coined the C2K thing is of the "opinion" that "C2K" is a fallen bishop; so I suppose I'm voicing my own opinion.

PSS. After talking with Nicholas, I see that I was just being overreactive and over-sensitive... so... um... I'll stand here with egg on my face and wait for everyone to leave  :)

Justin,
I didn't know that it was supposed to be an insult to Arch. Chrysostomos actually. I thought Nicholas had just come up with for the link to distinguish which GOC it was (boy that sound's bad, 'which GOC')
