The Italians with whom Met. Angelos is now in communion are New Calendarists according to their website, and if I recall correctly, the Kiev Patriarchate is not opposed to Ecumenism. One wonders how Met. Angelos could go from the Cyprianites to the GOC and now to New Calendarists who are not in communion with the state church of Greece.

Thank you for these interesting news. It demonstrates that it seems from Kyprianism to Ecumenism there is just a step.

So, the Montenegrin Orthodox Church has three former Kyprianite Bishops: Antonio (De Rosso), Simeon (Minihofer) and Angelos of Avlona.

BTW. If I am right, this same Angelos of Avlona, is that one who a while ago was linked in a not very happy episode which also had Gregory of Colorado as a actor.

It would have to be a very big step....

Well, to say truth I have never heard that TOC bishops leaves the Orthodox Traditionalism for the "Word Orthodoxy", it only can be seen in Jurisdictions with Kyprianite Eclessiology ("Synod of Resistance" or "Synod of Milan"). Well it is also certain that we could say that they are "traditionalist" if we are very benign with them.

As for that ROCOR and Kyprianos have the same eclessiology, we should not deceive ourselves, that declaration was a "big step" from ROCOR toward the Ecumenism. They left the communion with GOC to be in communion with a "Synod of Resistance" which as much their origin as their innovative eclessiology nothing has to do with the true GOC of Greece. But certain sectors from ROCOR (the same ones that are taking it now to the false union with the MP) didn't want to hear bishops who knew the situation in Greece and they opposed to be in communion with "Synod of Resistence", as Bishop Gregory (Grabbe); well, Met Vitaly (and other bishops of the "old Guard") neither was agree with being in communion with Kyprianos.
