Yes it is true. But the Apostles had no material or human materials too... It is first a question of will. Up to now, no patriarchate has ever thought about lauching a missien in the Western world. They are only interersted in their emigration and keeping good links with the Papist church... A good step would be having the will of creating a mission. It could be done step by step from the existing Orthodox churches in Europe and the US...

First - you don't offend -it is a blasphemy to compare to the sergianists with the Holy Apostles. The sergianists has little notion of what is to be really Christian.

Second, the MP (for not saying the "Church" of Sergy and Stalin) it is highly philetist, and they act like an "extension" of the Russian Embassies. The same thing can say of the other "World Orthodoxy" ones, they not even know the language of the country where they have parishes and in some cases they pick up to make their clergymen to former "priests" Roman or former Protestants full with heresies.

For finish I believe that to be a true Orthodox Christian missionary, one should know Christ and His Church. How can one preach what one doesn't know?

I hope that you were not seriously intending to say, as this quote implies, that a man may not convert to Orthodoxy and subsequently be ordained.

Many of those "convert priests" that take those of the "World Orthodoxy" are not simply that, but people (many RC seminarians) that have failed in their vocations and then they choose the orthodoxy for "develop" that frustrated vocation, many of them continue having in their mind and heart many erroneous ideas. It is that "Wolrd Orthodoxy" doesn't demand them a true conversion, it is more in many case neither they demand them to be baptized.

You are partly right Father Siluan. The Orthodox jurisdiction have sometimes the bad habit to take priest that had been in other churches... Or even to "acquire" full groups of believers taht become Orthodox... However the knowledge of the local language by ethnis priests is improving. In my parish 50% of the clergy speaks a good French. Moreover, the sons and grandsons of emigres finally lose the parents' language. This obliges to use the local language...Some churches have already understood this (at last).

Regarding the clergy, it is true that sometimes becoming Orthodox for a catholic priest was a mean to stay a priest while having a legitimate wife... It is also true that we can find some adventurers in the Orthodox clergy who have erred in many jurisdictions. However, we cannot ban the possibility of repentance...
