I mentioned a couple months ago about Mary and I getting headaches and whatnot. It's gotten better for Mary. It got somewhat better for me for a while as well, but about 3-4 weeks ago the problems started up again. This time, though, in addition to head and neck pains, I also had muffled hearing and some other problems. So I went to the doctor. He cleaned me out, and said that it wasn't an inner ear infection (which I thought it might be). He said that it was probably due to stress, and that I was borderline as far as whether I had high blood pressure or not (he didn't want to say for certain since it was the first time I'd been there and he didn't know my history). I actually felt a bit better for a couple days after that visit. Then it started up again, this time with severe pains in my neck, head, and ear (all on the left side), and muffled hearing on both sides of my head. This has been coupled with intense, sharp pains in my head, constant tooth aches, my heart feeling funny, and a bunch of other things.
At this point, I'm at a crossroads and unsure what to do. I really don't have the money for another doctor visit--and even if I did, I wouldn't have money for any medication he'd tell me to take. I could go to the emergency room if I got really worried, but that seems like a very last resort. I'm hoping it's just blood pressure, that way I can change my lifestyle and diet and improve my health without worrying about medical bills. Still, I'm worried about it being an infection (or something worse), and letting it go on too long without having it treated. So... past prayers, can anyone give me some information? Does what I'm going through sound like high blood pressure/hypertension, or something more serious? It is perhaps a mixture (I do have a loose tooth that hurts, which may be helping to aggravate things)? I posted a question for the hypertension expert at WebMD, but still no response yet
