Brother Nathanael is a regular communicant at the Rocor MP Synodal Cathedral ? How often does he get to New York ?!
Perhaps there is a slight exaggeration there.

Knowing a little about Brother Nathanael from before, I am surprised he would be an assiduous receiver of Holy Communion. It almost doesn't fit with his personality.

Also, Bishop Jerome was retired. Met Hilarion leaves that fact out obviously to give Nathanael's reputation a boost.

Perhaps many people have written or called in wanting to know if Nathanael genuinely has a spiritual father in Rocor.
That would explain why Met Hilarion makes such a point of saying so.

I wonder why it was necessary to state that Bro. Nathanael is permitted to commune in other jurisdictions ? Was there a controversy around an effort he made to receive Communion in a Greek parish or something like this ?

Nice stationery that Met Hilarion has for his ukazes, etc.

Yes, the stationery for the ROCOR-MP could be mistaken for the Hilton Hotel.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

Ha ha !

I actually like it very much : the color scheme is perfect and the delicate curling lines take one back to preRevolutionary Russia. This is the first time I have seen a specimen.

Newest flamboyant idea of Brother Nathanael's appears in his 'open letter to Vladimir Putin'

"DEAR PRESIDENT PUTIN… with Paul Craig Roberts’ request to become a Russian citizen being well received by Moscow, I also feel inspired to make a request of you.
.... Four Jews became Orthodox Christians through my ministry. My bishop met two of them.

"You’re my brother in Christ, dear Vladimir, as I am a fellow Orthodox Christian with the Russian Church. (As much as I admire Paul Craig Roberts, he cannot make that claim.)

HERE IS MY REQUEST…

Would you invite me to Russia to conduct my Street Evangelism? I hold up the Cross on median strips across America including 9th and Pennsylvania in DC and Times Square.

That would be a great honor. Especially if I could do it in Red Square where the Bolsheviks once claimed a faux victory.

But our trophy is the Cross. And Russia, unlike America, honors Christ, not His enemies"

I am posting this partly, too, because of the disclosure of Paul Craig Roberts' request to become a citizen of the RF. Hmm.

Searching for another video, I came across this of Brother Nathanael's explanation of his many-year journey from childhood to his first step into an Orthodox Church.
Although over-dramatized in presentation from 3 years ago, Brother Nathanael can be seen by the video to be capable of waking up many souls -- as I had suggested earlier on this thread -- and inspiring people of various parts of the world to convert [ take a glance through some of the comments to the video as an informal poll of the average person's reactions ].

Perhaps if he gets to Moscow, he will be besieged by more crowds of fans than ever occurred here in the U.S. !

PS : I checked and the church to which Brother Nathanael first went was an OCA one. He does not explain his path after that, which should be filled in better than his video about life at Holy Transfiguration Monastery [ which not very authentically features footage from other monasteries and Valaam chant playing in the background. ]

Now a company is offering Brother Nathanael T-shirts ! Have to be seen to be believed.

For only $ 24.80, men can sport tops like this :

Or for those desiring a decorative image perhaps for a wall at home, a tapestry of the monk is available for $ 37 :

For any fans of the quixotic monastic novice, the link to purchase these is : http://www.redbubble.com/shop/brother+nathanael

I think these items are likely to be quite popular overseas.
