They explain their action by saying that "we got tired of the accusations that we are cohabiting together in sin."

Yeah right If you wanted to "get people off your backs," you certainly wouldn't have done anything like what they did! If anything, the accusations will not be greater and more often voiced. They're still shacking up and having sexual relations outside of marriage (and homosexual relations at that), so what did the attempt at getting married accomplish? The same thing as throwing a rock at an anthill, I think. They can stand at a distance and admire how powerful they are. Perhaps that speculation is off, I don't know. In any event, though, this certainly had nothing to do with seeking peace or calm.

How sad that the OP starts with "MP marries homosexual couple" as if a Patriarchate marries anybody. More mud-slinging. Who would have expected it?

I think that Methodius owes us, and the MP, an apology.

As I said earlier, I was surprised at how many people rushed to judgement before all the facts came out in this situation. I think it was wrong to falsely accuse the MP here. Some people are so eager to find something wrong in another person.

I take part in many conversations on many boards on the web, some specifically Orthodox, and some more "ecumenical."

Why is it the Orthodox boards are the ones with the least grace and light and christ-like-ness?

It is a very sad thing.

What you are calling "grace and light", seems to be nothing other than tasteless salt.

That's because Orthodoxy maintains that scepticism, fluctuation and wavering, concerning those things which God has revealed to us is a sin; and to be firm, fixed and established in the faith, is a duty. The Ecumenist Church on the other hand teaches enough of the opposite so that feel-good sentamentalism can be established in the place of truth, which to the untrained spirit, seems like something good.
