Anastasios and br Jonathan, both members of the canonical True Orthodox Church of Greece, to seclude from now on all those "arsonists" and "bombers" who are slandering or are spreading despicable rumors (such those for fr.Akakios) and never respond back whenever they're asked to provide any proofs of their accusations.
Thank you!
Allow me to weakly protest. One of these "arsonists" is a moderator on the forum. I agree that when people make a claim they have to document it thoroughly, but they should at least be reminded and given an opportunity to respond, not simply calling for banning other people and throwing in a little "by the way, since you are both members of the TOC-Kallinikos" (hidden meaning: so you'd better listen). As I remember correctly, although you do have a nice pic of Metr Chrysostomos, and the user name is "Ekklisiastikos", aren't you all laymen? I mean this "request" sounds uncomfortably like an order, and last I heard, one you all can't issue. I think the language is heated on both sides, and really to suggest punishing the rest of us with a party-line policy is uncalled for. Further, it will damage the board.
And just for the record, I know for a fact that this letter was not a private letter to the members of the Guildford Parish. I didn't say anything at first, but I also got a copy when it was first sent, on September 3 N.S. (I just chose to say nothing, because Vladimir writes a few of these, and frankly, the stuff he wrote wasn't exactly surprising.). The author of the letter is the one primarily responsible for its contents, though people have chosen to defend it. For all intents and purposes he sent it in the exact same way as far as I can tell as he sends his open letters. I think the author needs to be held liable with his Bishop far more than any people here with the moderating team on the Cafe.
P.S. Happy Namesday Cafe! (I can't really give it a festal greeting. It's a computer program, so it's kind of weird.)
