Dear Faithful,
Christ is Risen!
I just came back from visiting Vladyka Metropolitan. Thank God, he is doing
well. Today he walked a lot, talked a lot, and the color of his face is
still very good. All his vital signs are very good. This means he is
fighting the infection very well.
Tomorrow they will be installing a catheder, which will enable him to be fed
with the antibiotics quite easily. They will keep Vladyka in the hospital
for one more day or so to observe how the catheder is healing and then he
will be released. He plans to stay in Colorado Springs at the home of Father
Dionysi.
In the meantime, the hospital on their own initiative, is trying to help
Vladyka with his digestive/urinary system, which they were told was giving
him a problem. This has nothing to do with his heart problem, but of their
own good will they are offering to help him.
Today he was visited by Sergei and Svetlana, who are a Ukrainian couple that
live in Colorado Springs. Svetlana works at the hospital. They brought
Vladyka some home made Russian food, which he enjoyed very much.
It looks like Vladyka may be released from the hospital on the feast of
Saint George, which was his nameday when he was a layman, St. Anatoly, who
martyred with St. George. We shall see. If not that day, then perhaps the
next day, which is his present name day for St. Valentine of Bulgaria.
We shall keep you all posted as major events occur in Vladyka's most
rewarding stay in Colorado. []:~)
In Christ,
+Bishop Gregory
