the obvious answer is--they are not listed. This is precisely why people are directed to contact one of the Priests or the Skete to see if there is a mission nearby. Oftentimes there are faithful attempting to organize a Mission but a proper parish has not yet been established.

Besides this, there are numerous foreign missions of the ROAC, which of course are not listed on the ROACAmerica website.

Let's try some simpler arithmetic:

How many ROAC priests are there in the USA who aren't in Colorado?

I was stickying this thread since it had the only online listing of Lamian GOC parishes, but since they do not want links to their sites, I would suppose that they would not want this stickied either, so I am unstickying it now.

... as a matter of curiosity, a question for Julianna...

Wouldn't the search for "Truth" (with a capital "T") lead one to another "church" (with a small "c"), in standard English convention - rather than the other way around ??? :?

I would assume (although a greenhorn here...) that all participants believe in One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic, and Orthodox Church...

... just wondering...

Whither do we go?

Post by user_220 »

As a matter of conscience, I am wondering what an Orthodox believer should do if he or she is far remote from a Traditionalist Orthodox parish or Mission... move? Or wait for a ROAC mission to arrive? ... or just do the best with what is at hand, and trust in God?

I am really struggling with this (and have been for some time), and would welcome any insights...

Thanks -

Dear in Christ;

The first thing I would say to do, is to contact some in ROAC. Secondly, you can find out if there is something nearby that has or is starting. Thirdly, if there is nothing near by, one may want to consider moving if possible. To be part of a community is something that can not be duplicated or should be not be dismissed easily.There may be oportunity to enven start something were one is, but of course, this is something that should be talked over with the priest or bishop.

In Christ,
Priest Dionysi
