There were people in Constantinople that were opposed to the oros, they were mostly the westeren educated and latin minded though.

Thanks so much for your very informative post. I had some questions about the Orthodox position on baptisms performed outside the Church and now they're all cleared up. I am going to save it to a file and save it for future reference.

You are quite welcome. If I had the time I would have wrote myself - the article I posted is intended for a certain audience and might seems harsh for people considering Orthodoxy.
