I think he's my favorite.
I've read most of the lives of the Optina Elders published by Platina and I was really moved by St. Nectary's life and his death. Perhaps it was his childlikeness which I find very touching.

A Blessed Namesday!
According to the book "The Spiritual Life" published by St. Herman Press his relics are in a village church near the Vysha Monastery (where he lived) - there is even a picture of it. Vysha is in the Tambov region (south of Moscow)

I'm curious to know what ROCOR's view is on the ROAC and why the two groups aren't in communion. Does anyone have a link?

With all due respect since when are the allegations of Vladimir Moss worth anything? He's hardly an objective viewpoint concerning the Russian Church. Aren't there protocols for dealing with these issues in the Church, and if crimes are committed aren't there laws which can be prosecuted ...
