the resurrection of the dead

Post by rebecca »

Can anyone direct me to any articles which give the Orthodox answers of these two questions:

  1. Since Christ ascended into heaven with His body, is His body still there? If so, wouldn't that imply that God the Son would have had a body forever since God isn't allowed to change?

  2. If the spirit is the only thing that counts, why will we be resurrected into our bodies again? After the General Resurrection, will we stay in our bodies for the rest of time?

This is getting way too deep for me. :| I should think less and pray more.

Physicsgirl,

Here's a place to maybe start from: the Orthodox Christian Information Center's pages on Death and the Future Life.

I hope the help some.
