EP Bartholomew Irate, Blasts “Unacceptable” Attacks on Ecumenism

Among other things in the article, is this bit:
"In his statement on 4 March, Orthodoxy Sunday, Seraphim said he was anathematizing the “fallen arch-heretic,” Pope Benedict XVI, “and those in communion with him,” as well as “all heretical offshoots of the Reformation,” “rabbis of Judaism and Islamists,” and “those who preach and teach the pan-heresy of inter-Christian and inter-religious syncretistic ecumenism.”

His remarks were criticized by professors at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, who said in a letter to the Greek synod that they were “unable to discern or even speculate as to the spiritual and pastoral benefit of this unprovoked, violent attack by one bishop against people of a different religion.”

This blog (OCP) is run by the Oriental Orthodox:

Approach to Ecumenism
OCP Society describes them as an organization exclusively dedicated to Orthodox Christian unity with ecumenical respect.

Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE consider ecumenism outside Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Churches that is to denote relationship and dialogue between Orthodox Churches and heterodox denominations. Inter-Orthodox/Intra-Orthodox relation is the term used to denote relationship among all Orthodox Churches.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

Sure. That is why they published this "News" that Bartholomew hates Traditional Orthodox advocates -- especially vocal ones that make him have to answer hard and honest questions asked by his constituents. The point is, this is how brazenly apostate he can be and STILL not be defrocked, suspended excommunicated and an summarily anathematised.

This is fulfilment of what is written in the Scriptures as to why the Antichrist is able to manifest himself at that prophesied hour of history:

2 Thessalonians 2:8-15

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

I don't understand, how is one not an apostate heretic when one bases his ecclesiology in ecumenism and not with the Holy Canons and the Fathers? How could anyone say that the ecumenism this wretched man practices is not heresy? How could anyone accept his bastardization of Orthodoxy and dirtying of it with heretical false teachings? Are people really that far gone to not realize that once you teach what is wrong, you don't have the moral authority to tell anyone what is right?

"The spouse of Christ cannot be adulterous, she is uncorrupted and pure, She knows one home; she guards with chaste modesty the sanctity of one couch. She keeps us for God. She appoints the sons whom she has born for the Kingdom. Whoever is separated from the Church and is joined to an adulteress is separated from the promises of the Church; nor can he who forsakes the Church of Christ attain to the rewards of Christ."

--St. Cyprian of Carthage, On The Unity of the Church (Chapter 6, ANF,V:423),

Yes, dear brother Revnitel, that is indeed how far things have gone wrong in the World Orthodox pseudo-church. However, we should fear, lest we also be swept away with the fallen in the days that lie ahead; we have not concluded the race we are running and it has not become clear what end we shall achieve.

Well, whatever God grant my end to be, I hope it include the humility and wisdom to know when I was selling out and leaving Orthodoxy for impiety. May God preserve me.
