Pouring Baptism

The Orthodox Church in Japan baptizes normally by Pouring on new
converts...I believe this is the same practice in the Ukrainian Church. Is this a valid baptism? even if there is no emergency and no danger of death? if so, would these people have to be baptized by triple immersion. Jeff C.

Since the 19th century, or maybe earlier, the practice of triple immersion was lost in Serbia, probably due to latin influence. Of course it is not normal... Will you say that this people baptized then were not orthodox? For me, the correctness of the faith is more important. The Japanese church being under MP, its baptism is void whatever form it has.
