I have read elsewhere that Otets Ilya, at 2:30 today, has fallen asleep in the Lord. The first panihida is said to be held tomorrow, Sunday, at 5PM.

Otets Ilya was reported to be the oldest clergyman in any of the Russian churches, having been born in 1897.

I hope we can all put our jurisdictional differences aside and pray for this worthy Priest.

I have known Otets Ilya all my life - and he has always been a humble and observant man of God.

I have read a lot of his life and such. He (in my opinion) was a truly holy priest.
