If an "Apostle" is one who brings the Church and the Gospel of Christ to the people of a particular region of the world--America, for instance--what would we call those who endeavor to take the Church and the Gospel of Christ away from the people of a particular region of the world, "Anti-Apostles"? And, if the "Apostles" are those who serve Christ, could we not say, by analogy, that the "Anti-Apostles" are those who serve the "Anti-Christ"?
What shall we say, then, of the Russian hierarchs--both within the Moscow Patriarchate and the ROCOR-Laurus-- who are now laboring to reverse the Apostolic outreach of St. John of San Francisco and the old ROCOR to the West by restricting the use of English in the indigenous ROCOR Churches of America and Australia? Are they, in fact, "Anti-Apostles," servants of the Anti-Christ?
Anti-Apostles of the Anti-Christ?
