the MP recognizes heretical baptisms

Post by Jean-Serge »

In Germany, in a joint celebration, the MP and other Christian churches decided some days ago to recognize their baptism.

The following links are in French :

I will try to translate some quotes...

Priidite, poklonimsja i pripadem ko Hristu.

This is a very quick translation of the extract of the common declaration (made without dictionnary) :

http://www.la-croix.com/article/index.j ... &rubId=786

Christ is our Savior. God through Him, has abolished the distance between Him and the sinner to make us his sons and daughters. The baptism means the rebirth in Christ through the participation to the mysteries of Jesus's death and resurrection. The one who receives this sacrament and believes in God will be united with Jesus and his people wherever he is and whenever he is. Symbol of Christian unity, the baptism is the base of this unity : there is between us a common understanding of the baptism, inspite of the different traditions between the Churches. That is why we recognise the baptism made by immersion, aspersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and we rejoice of the baptism of each of us. So this baptism is unique and cannot be erased.

Priidite, poklonimsja i pripadem ko Hristu.
