KGB and Jordanville Seminary?!!

      I spoke at length to a fellow parishioner from my ROCOR parish this morning.    He has recently spoken to our parish priest, a graduate of the ROCOR seminary at Jordanville, about the recent allegations by former KGB Col. Konstantin Preobrazhensky that the KGB has been actively infiltrating the ROCOR in recent years.  To my astonishment, our priest actually admitted to this parishioner that the KGB has been actively involved with people at Jordanville, even when our priest was a seminarian there several years ago!  I had expressed my concerns about the MP and KGB quite openly in my last confession with our priest in August, and he did not mention anything to me about KGB activity within the ROCOR at that time.  He talked about the KGB as something quite peripheral to the ROCOR--something that ROCOR parish priests had encountered on occasion in their work with repentant parishioners from the former Soviet Union, etc.  Needless to say, I am truly shocked by our priest's "confession," and do not feel safe discussing this with our parish priest at this time.  I would like to know if anyone in this forum has any credible information about KGB activities within the ROCOR, and at the Jordanville seminary in particular.

I'm guessing it would be hard to get solid evidence of this unless one worked in the KGB or some part of the Russian government, showing papers that they actually sent so-called "priests" who were actually agents to the US. However, I think there can be tell-tale signs these "priests" being agents, which I am sure are fairly easily recognized to someone who knows more about this.

What I'd like to know is does the US government care much about what is happening.
