[In the month September 2006 a new schism of a Florinite paratxis is formed. Two metropolitans of this Synod, Niphon of Pireas and Arethas of Crete are separeted from this Synod. We see the basement of all Florinites parataxes are vacillate because their profession of faith was many times changed. At the begiinning stays their pseudostylobatis Chrysostome of Florina (+1955), who was leaving his parataxis without a successor. Follow schisms about schisms.color=cyan][/color]

Im just trying to understand what happened and developed in the history of the Greeks Old Calendar Church

New schism within the Florinites (Synod of Abp. Makarios)
The Florinite Confession of Faith has not "many times changed." And what explains the Matthewite schisms of Met. Gregorios and more recently of Met. Kyrikos?

The content of any of my posts is strictly my own opinion and not the official position of St. Menas Greek Orthodox Chapel, the GOC of Greece, nor any of her clergy.
Two metropolitans of this Synod, Niphon of Pireas and Arethas of Crete are separeted from this Synod.
That is easy to say, but are we just expected to believe that, all of a sudden, their confession of faith changed?? Or could it be that their "synod" is just trying to give them stigmata so that, let's say, if they decide to return to the GOC under Met. Chyrsostomos II, you will be able to say we are all "heretics".
Please, if you are going to accuse someone of heresy in their confession of faith, show us, don't just say it.

The Florinite confession of faith (in regards to the new calender) has changed several times over the years, even today if you go bishop by bishop opinions will vary on the new calender issue. Met. Chrysostomos of Florina changed his confession in regards to this topic at least half a dozen times alone, never mind other florinite bishops.
While the Matthewites have had schisms all bishops firmly hold the belief the new calender is graceless. And have never comprimised this.
These opinions are my own and represent no synod.

No schism -Apostasy of Bishop
September 2006 = Apostasy of Bishop
At 15th of September Metr.Nifon with a document sent to the Holy Synod, stated that he is disunited and he will remain autonomous. The Holy Synod in a special meeting decided to cease Metr.Nifon from his Exarchy and from any administrative services. The Holy Synod also decided that for the time being no penances will be enforced, which the Holy Canons require, onto the defector bishop but instead three months of argia will be imposed to him so he might reconsider his action and repend. As it was expected Metr.Nifon was followed in his secession by Metr.Arethas, whom belongs in Metr.Nifon’s brothehood
