Please Pray for Tatiana

I have just returned from seeing my three year old God-daughter, Tatiana, who is in hospital. Her mother rang me and asked me to come but was unable to tell me what happened over the phone.
When I got to the hospital, I heard the most horrific news any God-parent or parent can hear.
Tatiana has been sexually assaulted.
I'm too angry to pray right now, and too filled with hate. All I could manage was to light the vigil lamp, but I couldn't even look at the Icons with a heart filled with as much anger and hatred as mine is right now. And I have just punched a hole in my study door with my fist and my hand is killing me.
My Goddaughter needs prayers urgently, and I, as her Godfather am failing her right now.
Please, for the Love of Christ, pray for Tatiana.

Prayers for her, her family and for the abuser who hopely confesses this evil deed and turns himself or herself in.

I had a call from Tatiana's mother Julia a little while ago.
A priest friend visited Tatiana in hospital and annointed her and gave her Holy Communion and she is now sleeping soundly- unlike the rest of us. It is 1:30am here and no one can sleep. Tatiana's grandmother is here with me and we had to call her doctor who has given her a sedative but she won't lie down to rest, she sits for a while, then gets up and paces, wringing her hands.

I will pray for Tatianna, for her family, and for you. I ask God to give you the strength and courage you need to do what is right. To keep you from doing out of anger what you will regret. To soothe you souls and to heal your goddaughter of her hurts and trauma.

My eyes fill with tears as I read this.....Why is mankind so depraved that it must hurt the innocent?
