The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

This is totally off the subject, but why is it that most Orthodox Priests are a little over weight? I mean they fast alot thru out the year, and still they are bigger than Catholic Priest`s that hardly fast, except for the 40 day Lent of Pasqua................

Kollyvas, could you please only post topics that are concerning Orthodoxy, I think the forum owner would appreciate that. Thanks

I have asked in the past to be contacted privately, thank you. There was no reason for a show or for singling me out. That is unappreciated and quite rude. I would refer you, however, to the description of the heading "miscellaneous": perhaps, you should change it or make it a point to say "anyone except Kollyvas can post here"?! Rest assured, I shan't post "topics that don't have anything to do with Orthodoxy" again.

Thanksgiving does have something to do with Orthodoxy in America....

Miscellaneous Issues
Secular news, current events, technical questions and anything else that for one reason or another does not seem to be on-topic on any of the other forums...

Nothing (within the boundries of Christian morality and good taste) is off-topic here.

(oh really?!)

Does anyone realize how horrible this statement is?

Are we now judging another just by looks? Judging him for what and how much he eats? What if there is a medical problem that we know nothing about ? For that matter why should we know about it? Why is it our business how another fasts or how severly? Did anyone ever thing that a diet based on starch could be the problem? For that matter why are you looking at someone else when you should be looking at YOURSELVES?

My God people! This is not right!!!!!!!!!!

Katya- If there were an applause emoticon, it would be here. Right on!
