The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

"KABBALAH FOR SUCKERS" Part I

Post by Nathaniel Kapner »

"Rav Berg founded the Kabbalah Center in 1964 in NY and has
grown to over 100 center's Worldwide," reads the Website
www.kabbalah.com

It's true dear Kabbalah 'watchers,' New Age Kabbalah is growing
by leaps and bounds and 'Rav Berg's bank account just won't quit!

How about 10 classes with 'Rabbi Meir Yeshurun" (Born Herbert
Schwartz) called "Power of Kabbalah Level I" for only $250
mazumas! Then you can go on to all the next Levels ad nauseum.

Then click on to Rav Berg's "Bookstore" and for only $40 shekels you
can be the enlightened owner of his kid's book (ala "sons of Sceva"
from the book of Acts), entitled "Becoming Like God - Kabbalah And
Our Ultimate Destiny," by 'Yehuda Berg.'

'Things Jewish' is now in 'vogue' not only in New Age circles (ALL
the Leading Players in the New Age Movement are Jews), but
in 'christian' circles as well. And phonies like 'Rav Berg'
are 'kvelling' all the way to the bank!

This November 'Madonna' of 'if it's the in thing I'll be there' fame
will be gifting the world with her new song, "Isaac," a tribute to
the famous Jewish Kabbalist "Isaac Louria" of the 16th Century, the
greatest 'New Age' Jew of them all.

BOTTOM LINE - Kabbalah is soon to take on 'Orthodox Christian'
dimensions with the "I ain't gonna miss this opportunity" defrocked
ROAC priest Gregory Lourie cashing in. In my "Kabbalah For Suckers"
Part II, I will give all of you Kabbalah 'watchers' my "Introduction
To Kabbalah." And guess what? It's for free.

New Age is not the only area in which jews play a predominant role

Take a look at the media in USA or Europe for instance. I could mention other areas too, but this is an orthodox forum, and we must talk on decent subjects here. :ohvey:

Exact science must presently fall upon its own keen sword...from Skepsis there is a path to "second religiousness," which is the sequel and not the preface of the Culture.
