The unfortunate corruption of the Faith - HISTORY

Post by TomS »

Take a ride out to a bookstore and refer to:

The Closing of the Western Mind; The Rise of Faith and the Fall of Reason - Charles Freeman

Read it and learn the truth.

While you are looking at it - learn the truth about the creation of the Cult of Mary:

Pages 241-244

----------------------------------------------------
They say that I am bad news. They say "Stay Away."

Well you fail to understand what is Tradition. Christianism is not based on the Bible only like are saying Protestants... It is based ont Tradition which is not written but has been transmitted orally... But tell me man, if you make the sign of the cross, where do you see that the Bible talks about the sign of the cross?

Tom,

What part of the Christian faith DO you believe in?

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)

In the Orthodox Faith these two things are not mutually exclusive.

The Cult of Mary...........

Perhaps Tom was not referring to the Orthodox veneration of the Theotokos, but to the Roman Catholic excesses in certain parts of that devotion?
