Communion-Confession

Should a person always be confessing everytime he communes? Isn't confessing on a regular basis good enough allready? What do you think?

If you are going to Liturgy every day, it may or may not be neccesary, but if you commune every Sunday or once every 40 days, you shopuld definitely confess before communing, whether that morning or the evening before at/before/after Vespers.

Father Nicholas, what would you say to those who have a spiritual father who aren't their parish priest?

Probably this, "Ask your Spiritual Father and communing priest". :-)

I confess one time with three weeks and I commune every Sunday (after reading the prayers before communion)... I would say we must not fall in two extreme positions : confession is not a passport to communion, but it is important to go to confession when you commune and the other extreme position. Communing without confession...
