ROCOR-L and EP prayaing together?

Post by Jean-Serge »

I would like somebody to explain me this :

"On the feast day of the Annunciation of the Mother of God, His Grace Bishop Gabriel of Manhattan, Vicar Bishop of the Diocese of Eastern America and New York, performed Divine Liturgy at Annunciation Church in Flushing, NY. On the eve, Bishop Gabriel performed all-night vigil at the Synodal Cathedral, at which His Grace Bishop Kallistos (Ware) of Diokleia prayed in the altar. "

ROCOR-L and Ecumenical Patriarchate are not in communion. So how can they pray together? Furthermore, ROCOR is anti-ecumenist and Bishop Kallistos is an ecumenist... What on earth is occurring?

Priidite, poklonimsja i pripadem ko Hristu.

Dear in Christ, Jean- Serge:

Do you truly believe that ROCOR-L is not Ecumenist? I lowly believe that these last years they have faked very well to be such and they have deceived many people. But little by little many people deceived will understand the truth. Because the darkness don't conquer to the light.

With Love in Christ

Forgive me Fr. SIluan, but I don't think that you are being objective enough, neither is anyone else so ready to make assumptions and judgements on so little information. How often have we all seen how information presented can be viewed in a multitude of ways simply with the use of different words. One need only to read the same news story in several sites to understand this.

Anyway..... you have already made your choice of where to be, comments such as you posted are unworthy of a priest. Perhaps there are reasons, good or bad, for your choices but the rest of us who are still trying to deal with and understand and perhaps change the course of where OUR church is heading, we have not given up and still have hope that GOD the Father and Christ, his Son will guide us and help us fix what is wrong, we have not chosen to run away as yet. We fight as we can, how we can. To make postings such as you and others make is to belittle our struggle, to negate our efforts, to make us look like fools to the world. We are NOT fools, we simply have choosen hope over everything else.

Please everyone stop belittling us and help us fight rather than giving up and running away.

Katya

I offer this as an example of the misrepresentation of words:

Ekaterina,

I don't think Fr. Siluan was belittling you. I don't think he even addressed you; I'm not so sure about your reply however.

Maybe it would be better for Fr. Siluan to hear how you are changing things: ie the course your bishops are taking. If he saw that you were really making an impact maybe he, or others lurking on the forum, would reconsider some of their positions.

I am interested in hearing your views on the matter.
