Troparion, Tone 4

Blessed ascetic of the northern wilds/ and intercessor for the whole world;/ teacher of Orthodoxy, instructor of piety,/ adornment of Alaska and gladness of America,/ holy Father Herman, pray to Christ our God that He may save our souls.

Dear Joshua,
A blessed feast of St. Herman to you too! And by way of a razz regarding our other discussion, here is yet another translation of his troparion- which one is more correct?!

Troparion in Tone IV:
O venerable Herman, ascetic of the northern wilderness and gracious advocate for all the world, teacher of the Orthodox Faith and good instructor of piety, adornment of Alaska and joy of all America: entreat Christ God, that He save our souls.

Oh, George Australia, you have raised a bright smile on a bitterly cold day. ".......down under, not Hades"

I am really glad you have cleared up any misunderstanding, mate!

I actually like the translation you provided more, but didn't have it handy when I ran my 10 second google investigation for the purposes of the above post :)
