I heard, that he taught clearly to the Russian people of the MP the sanctity many years ago before their Glorification. As seen below, he is holding an Icon with Saints Nicholas and Alexis. Anything else I don't know... I heard something about Rasputin coming into place. But I don't know, so I don't say. I know though he was a famous "Batushka"...

In the second picture, the 'icon' he is holding is not of the Tsar-martryr Nicholas and Tsesarevich-martyr Alexei, but rather one of Rasputin and Alexei.

I have come across 'icons' of Rasputin before, and they just send a shiver down my spine.
