(Apparently, to what I know, he knows Greek no?)
I believe I read that in his biography published by Saint Herman's. I know he could liturgize in Greek (I think (New Testament) Greek was fairly standard though in Russian seminaries so I bet most educated Russian priests could use Church Greek). I have no idea if he spoke modern Greek though. I love Church Greek and understand it fairly well, but when it comes to Demotiki I have trouble getting past Καλημερα!

Romiosini,
There is a service tomorrow (Sat. July 3) at St. Nicholas (ROCA) on St. Joseph and Cote St. Catherine. They are doing a service for St. John as they did not have liturgia today. I guess because more people will come since it's Sat. The service starts at 9 am.
Since you expressed such devotion to him, I felt it was my obligation to let you know, as it would be a sin to withhold this information.
I, also hold St. John close to my heart.
