I was almost victim of road rage today!

Post by 尼古拉前执事 »

On the way home from Dormition Skete for the Hierarchal Liturgy with Metropolitan Valentine (1st day serving since the surgeries) a truck in front of me kept slamming on the brakes as if to try and make me hit him. So I tried to speed around him to get by this person and he sped up trying to make it impossible for me to pass him and get back in the proper lane! After I did this, he kept riding my bumper and finally went as if to pass me and then swerved towards me to drive me off the road while going 65+ mph!

By the Grace of God, his wife stopped him from ramming us off the road (My daughter Anastasia, Juvenaly and Nikita) at high speeds and he went back behind me and ended up slowing down some.

Nikita and Anastasia said that his arms were flailing and he was beet red and going crazy. They were the ones that saw his wife grab the steering wheel and save our lives.

Glory to God for His protection! Please join me in praying thanksgiving prayers for our lives and pray for this man that he learns to control his temper and whatever issues he has that makes him want to make people crash and die painful deaths. Thank you in advance.

Brother Nicholas,

You are such a lovable person and all are safe, but I would have called the Highway Patrol on this one, he could have popped his cork later down the road & injuried other innocent people.

He must be held accountable for his actions, after he repents & his penalty is paid, forgiveness & prayer will follow if warranted.

Whenever I've driven between Colorado Springs and Denver on those mountain roads, I have always been somewhat white-knuckled just trying to drive normal - those roads can be just plain scary, and I've driven on 2-lane winding Greek mountain roads most of which have no guard rails.

Now add a truck doing truck things and trying to run you off the road... I think it is even scarier being the passenger.

Better to do what my wife does, don't look!

Glad you made it Nicholas, we don't need any more medical news coming out of your area.
