True (Old Calendar) Orthodox Church of Bulgaria

Post by Alyosha Alex »

Christos Voskres!

I was curious what happened to the True (Old Calendar) Orthodox Church of Bulgaria. Do any of you know anything?

Any information will be sincerely appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

In Christ,
Alyosha

Christ is Risen!

To my knowledge todate, nothing has happened with Bishop Photij's synod. I still buy incense from them via agent in US and I hope to viisit again in near future.

And order some more icons...

I think some of them joined the quickly growing ROAC Church in Bulgaria when they became convinced that Cyprianism was wrong.

Nicholas,

Define "quickly growing".

They went from one priest last year and I think they now have 3 families to 5 priests now and 60 families. That would be a 500% jump in clergy and 2,000% jump in laity.
