It was difficult for me to choose because I love them all but I chose Orthodoxy and the ROF because it was the first book I read by him (finding it by chance not having known anything about the blessed author) and had the most impact on me while also answering many questions I had struggled with up to that point. I finished the book with a great respect for the man and desire to know everything about him. Saint or no saint, he certainly was a rightous man who is difficult not to love.

I chose The Soul After Death. I like each of them in a certain way, and I have issues with each of them, so it was hard to vote :) If Not of This World was on there I would have voted for that, though of course wasn't written by Fr. Seraphim so I can understand that that wouldn't qualify.

I found Orthodoxy and the religion of the future instructive and frightening. The Soul after Death was one to struggle with, with the Toll Houses particularly difficult.

It might be honest to say although the former has been read many times the latter is something I put away and never looked at again....

The subsequent controvesy sealed it, at least for me.
