What are your thoughts on the Megami Tensei video games, and can you prove to me and measure how demonic it is?

Re: The Blasphemy Of Megami Tensei
I don't know it but Japan is a pagan country. Why would I then choose to play their games about summoning demons? No review is needed; I have my answer.
The only one who watches demonic media over and over to talk about how demonic it is, is Dyer. Apparently the man thinks he's got some special power that makes him immune to demonic influence not just incidentally but when he seeks it out. Don't be like Dyer.
The media which needs to be reviewed, is that which deceives those who think it looks good--even Orthodox--while carrying the opposite message. 40K being the most notable example today.

Video games -- like movies, music and other forms of "entertainment" -- can range from mostly harmless to openly demonic. At best they're a waste of time, and at worst, they are demonic.
I am unfamiliar with the video game you are talking about, however I know what Fr. Steven Allen says about movies/films, "if you want to watch a film, watch an older one that you are familiar with, that you already enjoy, and doesn't contain immoral or unseemly content". He says avoid all modern movies.
My Vladyka says he enjoys films and music, but he says it was something Met. Valentin of blessed memory admonished him for, as it is not a pious thing to do. He says if you need such a "crutch", then use it, but its best not to watch/listen to these things. St. John Maximovitch of Shanghai and San Francisco says the only edifying piece of modern music is classical music, and Fr. Seraphim Rose of Platina echoed that sentiment.
I forget which Saint it was, and where the story is recorded, but he said secular music is the hymns of the demons, and he wrote this in the 6th century. St. Boethius called the secular music of his time garbage and demonic (6th-7th century). You can look up reconstructions of what St. Boethius was talking about, and by our standards we'd practically consider it Church music!
In short, I think this question depends on one's own spiritual state, the content in the game/movie/music, and of course what one's spiritual father says.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."

Here is the people behind it
Aya Nishitani
Kouji Okada
Gin'ichiro Suzuki
Kazunari Suzuki
Kazuma Kaneko
Tsukasa Masuko
Tadashi Satomi
And here are some 3 videos
Keep in mind some of these videos might not really be something to be watched without a blessing.
Thank you.

Re: The Blasphemy Of Megami Tensei
My crutch is classical music, which I am an avid fan of along with ecclesiastical chant, the latter of course being without reproach. Just avoid anything modernist or atonal ... composers thought they no longer had employ melody or were just out of ideas.
I grew up thinking that the Final Fantasy series of games was the greatest thing since sliced bread (by extension, JRPGs). I had to be confronted with the fact that the series and the whole genre usually has blasphemous anti-Christian themes in it either subliminally, or in the case of Final Fantasy Tactics or FFX, not so subtly. Or if it doesn't, you're still literally summoning a fallen spirit as a way to kill something. I still enjoy the series' music, but the older I get, the more sober I get about the reality that any time spent on these things is time not spent -- that you never get back -- on precious prayer, study and repentance.

With Megami Tensei there is no excuse, but I really want to create like Saint John Of Damascus style Refutation against this series since it is actually almost like a new religion itself and inherently almost Heretical video games.
The music is superb but it is from Satan, here listen to this instead.

Re: The Blasphemy Of Megami Tensei
A series name that translates to "Goddess Reincarnation"(Megami = goddess, tensei = reincarnation) is probably not going to have Christian-compatible content.
Funnily enough, the Japanese name for the Statue of Liberty is "Jiyuu no Megami Zou", ie, "Statue of the Freedom Goddess". At least the Japanese know paganism when they see it!
