WASHINGTON - Republican senators have selected Arizona prosecutor Rachel Mitchell to question Judge Brett Kavanaugh and the woman who has accused the Supreme Court nominee of sexually assaulting her when they were teenagers, a top senator announced Tuesday.

Mitchell, the sex crimes bureau chief for the Maricopa County Attorney's Office in Phoenix, will query the two at Thursday's highly anticipated Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. A registered Republican, Mitchell has worked for the Maricopa County Attorney's Office for 26 years.

In enlisting Mitchell to join their staff, Republican senators are taking an unusual step. They are turning to her to ask what are expected to be personal and potentially painful questions about the woman's youth on live television, sparing the all-male panel of 11 Republican senators on the committee some uncomfortable exchanges that could sway the public's opinion about the session. . . .

Note that this story follows the same story line that is being reported by all the controlled fake news media sites as the WSJ is controlled by the powers that be (the elites who control the press such as the Bilderbergers, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Trilateral Commission). Thus, the reporters of the Wall Street Journal are beholden to their Democratic masters, and of course the news is biased. We in the USA have not had a free press for many decades. This probably applies to all the major news outlets world wide, for we know that the worst of the media: Google, WaPo, CNN, and MSNBC are controlled by the CIA, Yahoo and all the British news media are controlled by the MI-6, and other countries are controlled by their governmental snoops.

Note also that these controlled media sites are all failing to address the fact that Judge Kavanaugh has already had SIX background checks and that this will be his seventh. Absent of criminal charges, a background check is very limited in scope.

Three critical undecided GOP senators appeared to be under a different impression about the contours of the investigation, but all said the FBI should be able to follow the investigation where it leads. Mr. Flake said on CBS that the FBI would be able to conduct additional interviews if necessary and pursue additional lines of inquiry. ...

FBI background investigations are different from criminal investigations in that they are done at the request of a “client”—in this case the White House—and investigators are unable to deploy search warrants or grand jury subpoenas. Potential witnesses are allowed to decline requests to be interviewed.

Sen. Tom Cotton said Sunday that Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s office will be investigated to determine whether or not they leaked the confidential letter from Christine Blasey Ford that detailed allegations of sexual misconduct by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Feinstein, who represents California and who is the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, had received the letter from Ford sometime over the summer and was asked to keep it confidential. At some point, however, the letter was leaked to the press, although Feinstein denies that anyone in her office is responsible. ...

“They have betrayed her,” Cotton, R-Ark, said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” about Ford. ” “She has been victimized by Democrats ... on a search-and-destroy mission for Brett Kavanaugh.”
