Job seeker prayer?

Post by sue57 »

I'm sorry if similiar questions have been posted, which I think they probably have, but...I'm sending off a resume today for a job I would love (and need!), and I'm wondering if anyone knows a special prayer to say in such a case? I know that it would only be with God's help that I could get this job, a sort of too good to be true situation. I will say the Jesus Prayer all the way to the post office today. I hope that it is God's will that I might recieve this blessing.
Thanks!

Sue,

Say a prayer of wishing to get the job if it is God's will and make the sign of a cross over the resume before sending it. A priest I respect very much told me this tip and I think it is a good one.

Sue, I will pray for you to get the job. That makes 4-5 of us here that are looking for jobs. Perhaps Nik should open up an employment agency.

I have some friends that when ever they turn to St. Xenia of Petersburg for jobs and such it usually comes through.

Thanks to all who replied. I will include all you job seekers in my prayers too. I know looking for a job is one of the hardest tasks in life, and much harder if you are without one. I prayed before I left for the post office. I just have to trust in God's will, and to keep hoping as well!
