Rage disorder linked with Toxoplasmosis < cat feces

The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

Rage disorder linked with Toxoplasmosis < cat feces

Post by Maria »

Uncontrollable, explosive bouts of anger such a road rage might be the result of an earlier brain infection from the toxoplasmosis parasite, an organism found in cat feces, a new study finds.

In the study of more than 350 adults, those with a psychiatric disorder called Intermittent Explosive Disorder, or IED, were twice as likely to have been infected by the toxoplasmosis parasite compared with healthy individuals with no psychiatric diagnosis.

Ha ha, that's ridiculous !
Scientists come up with the strangest explanations sometimes.

How about : heavy demons pressing on the person who displays the uncontrollable rages ?
For demons are always found where a human is experiencing rage of any type. Not everyday anger, but definitely this highly poisonous rage. I see it personally as the rage that the Devil has for failing to compete with God and swearing eternal vengeance on God for not recognizing him [the Devil ] as equal to -- or better than -- God.

Whether this fits the exact situation, I am not qualified to say. It's a general guess / hypothesis.

These scientists have to get out of this realm of "something is wrong with the brain" to explain away personality disorders from the supposedly 'mild' ADD or ADHD to sociopathy. No, it's not the physical brain : it's the action of demons upon the physical brain, I suspect, which causes these aberrant behavior patterns like the rage disorder described here.

This outlandish theory does not take into account the many many people who pick up after their cat and never convulse into a cruel rage reaction.

Besides, the presence of parasites in Americans is said to be around 80 + % of the population. Of course, some parasites might be less deleterious than others. But having a parasite is nothing unusual for a North American today ; it is virtually the norm. Therefore, what about all the millions who are able to contain themselves from exploding into rage -- ?

If the parasite enters the brain, then it can affect people seriously.

Not all parasites enter the brain.

I think it is more of a worry if a demon enters the brain than a parasite.
A parasite would not likely be the cause of such a vehement reaction. Also, the parasite would slowly take over more and more tissue. It would not suddenly trigger this disorder !

Demons - like parasites - DO in fact hide out and bide their time. Neither one wishes to be discovered and thus cast out. It is easy for both of these unpleasant forms to continue leeching off the host.

I doubt a parasite would be the root cause of this type of rage outbreak. Much more likely a demon in disguise trying to sow discord amongst humans by setting one against another [ divide and conquer, the usual strategy of the evil side ].

Schizophrenia and rage disorder are both linked with Toxoplasmosis.
