SOMETHING sinister is coming our way ....

“The fact that we’re seeing multiple toxins at the same time, we’re seeing high levels of domoic acid, and we’re seeing a coast-wide bloom — those are indications that this is unprecedented,” said Vera Trainer of the Seattle-based Northwest Fisheries Science Center.

Domoic acid, a naturally occurring toxin, was the most concerning threat of the group and has already forced commercial and recreational crab fisherman to cancel their seasons and wait for the toxic bloom to dissipate.

The toxic effects of the far-reaching bloom stretch from the central California coastline all the way north to the shores of Alaska, wreaking havoc on local fisheries that can’t afford to miss a season.

There was a news item last night about a ban on sardine fisheries on the West Coast of the USA.
That news source said that it was the radiation from Japan that is killing fish and other sea creatures.

That's what I figured as soon as I saw the picture. Though I never expected that awful red color !
The news said that the problem is the radiation from Japan ? I am surprised they admitted it, as it has been
kept very quiet all this time. Only alternative news places have sounded alarms.

But sardine fisheries having to close ? That's tragic. I love sardines !
