Good day everyone!
I have a card with a brief account of the life of St. Nectarios on it. At the very end it states that his relics remained incorrupt until the calendar change in 1924 and then they dissolved. I have searched and searched for anything to corroborate this account but I can't find anything. Does anyone know anything or have any information about the truthfulness of this account?

According to two biographies that I have read, the relics of St. Nectarios were allowed to dissolve so that his relics could be spread world wide. In addition, his sacred body while it was incorrupt was treated very poorly by the ruling Metropolitan who would not allow for a proper internment.

I only vaguely remember this mention in the account of his life.
It seems so weird ; why would they let it dissolve so as to create relics ?
That wouldn't work at all, one thinks.
Who was the Metropolitan at that time who was careless. Or - was he purposely negligent of
the relics ?
