Founder of the strange "social site", Phase-out Book, Mark Zuckerberg, has purchased 4 homes surrounding his own one south of San Francisco to ensure his privacy.
I don't blame him for that, as the article does, but note the last 2 sentences which slip the idea in quietly that
MORE invasiveness is in store for people's profiles. I didn't see even one headline about this, by the way.
The articles uses the sales price as the headline "Mark Zuckerberg just spent more than $30 Million..." to attract viewers and
make them indignant.
"Zuckerberg reportedly took action after he learned that a developer wanted to purchase one of his neighbor's homes and use the fact that Zuckerberg lived close by as a marketing tactic. He started purchasing the homes last December. Zuckerberg will lease the four homes he just bought back to its current residents.
It's ....ironic that Zuckerberg has to go through great lengths to protect his privacy. Yesterday news broke that Facebook was removing yet another privacy feature. Soon, even people who wish to remain hidden from Facebook searches will have no choice but to be searchable on the social network."
