Dr. Mercola warns of the dangers of Antibiotics

The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

Dr. Mercola warns of the dangers of Antibiotics

Post by Maria »

  • Story at-a-glance

    Code: Select all

US FDA recently issued a warning that fluoroquinolone antibiotics, taken by mouth or injection, carry a risk for permanent peripheral neuropathy; Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and Levaquin (levofloxacin) are examples
This is not the first warning issued for this class of antibiotics; in 2008 the FDA issued a black box warning about severe tendon damage and actual tendon ruptures ...
Fluoroquinolones have also been associated with memory loss, psychosis, headaches, depression, anxiety, kidney failure, cardiovascular symptoms, nausea and vomiting, blindness and other health problems
Fluoroquinolones are antibiotics with an attached fluoride molecule, which gives them the ability to penetrate into sensitive tissues like your brain and central nervous system, where they can exert neurotoxic effects
Tetracycline also carries a fluoride ion. This drug has also caused multiple side effects.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

I remember my teenage friends used to take tetracycline for their acne. I never had that problem anyway, [since I didn't
eat chocolate ! Or sugar]. I always thought the name sounded terrible, like 4 cycle motor oil !

So i am interested to hear that it has worse affects than anyone had realized at the time.

All antibiotics are verboten, in my book !

As a related aside, some recent studies of infections of outbreaks of infections, often cited as hospital acquired infections, such as C. Dif. are not well controlled by increasing levels of hospital hygiene and deep cleaning but by controlling the usage of antibiotics.

This is exactly what Dr. Mercola was saying. These manufactured antibiotics that are synthesized with the addition of halogen ions (in this case, fluoride) should only be used for hospital acquired infections that are resistant to the normal antibiotics like penicillin and that generation of antibiotics.

SInce patients are neither given the patient inserts nor advised that these new generation antibiotics have added halogen ions that can pass through the brain barrier, it is imperative that they are warned of the dangerous side effects of these drugs. For example, I was put on a course of Cipro and there was no warning label on that prescription bottle. When I tried to back my car down our steep driveway, I lost control, and the car smashed into the rocks at the bottom of our driveway. If it were not for those rocks, I might have gone through a neighbor's garage and could have killed my elderly neighbor. Only after I complained to the doctor did I discover that driving while under the influence of Cipro is not recommended. In fact, on the next course of Cipro for H. flu (the common bacteria that causes fevers, sore throats, and ear infections in children and in adults), there was a warning about driving or using Cipro while operating vehicles or heavy equipment.

When I was hospitalized for H. flu that had gone into my lungs and caused pneumonia, Cipro was no longer effective and the doctors had to resort to a stronger drug, Zithromax, to save my life as I had had a fever of 105 degrees for one week. It took me more than two months to regain my strength once I had recovered from that infection.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.
