EP Delegation to Vatican in Celebration of Feast

Post by Matthew »

it is Ironic that the EP that did NOT even HAVE the fast or feast of Sts Peter and Paul this year, still bothered to send a delegation to the Vatican to kiss the papists with brotherly love!

What hypocrisy.

Bartholomew says in his written address to Pope Francis about halfway through:

This spirit of simplicity must surely also characterize relations among Churches and Christians, who for reasons known to the Lord are divided today [duh, I wonder why? I guess only the LORD can know that!] into different Christian churches and confessions. It is our personal hope that the ongoing dialogues among the various Churches – and especially the dialogue between our two great Churches of Roman Catholicism and Orthodox Christianity, a dialogue of love, theology and truth – will continue to bear fruit in a spirit of simplicity and fraternity, of mutual understanding and truthfulness, in order to bring about the desired result of rapprochement through the unique authenticity in Christ, which alone is ultimately able to unite – and will unite – all Christians.

Oh yes! Let's all unite in the POPE and gloss over his heresies!!!

Saint Mark of Ephesus says plainly: "We have separated ourselves from the Latins for NO OTHER REASON than that they are heretics".

Pope...uh, I mean, Ecumenical Patriarch Bart needs to study the "Pillars of Orthodoxy" like Saint Mark of Ephesus more so that he can avoid writing such embarrassingly ignorant lines as, "...Churches and Christians, who for reasons known to the Lord are divided today into different Christian churches and confessions."

And again, he is hell-bent on uniting the Orthodox Church overtly, publicly, and plainly to the Pope and his synagogue of satan called the Roman Catholic Church, or as a dear friend of mine used to say, The FRRO or the Franco-Roman Religious Organisation.

Patriarchal Delegation to the Vatican
On Saturday, June 29, 2013, in accordance with the tradition of exchanging formal visitations with the Roman Catholic Church, a delegation from the Ecumenical Patriarchate attended the Patronal Feast of Saints Peter and Paul in Rome. His Eminence Metropolitan John of Pergamon, who led the delegation, conveyed the fraternal greeting of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Pope Francis. Also in the delegation were Bishop Athenagoras of Sinope from Belgium and Archimandrite Prodromos Xenakis from Crete.

Hypocrisy ? No, a great scandal. With a such person as Bergoglio alias "Pope Francis" is, Archondonis is sending a delegation...

As my late mother, God rest her, might have said, birds of a feather flock together.

Our spiritual forefathers distanced themselves from those who overturned doctrine, dogma or belief. Today the fashion appears to be you run down the road to perdition with them, all the while rejoicing and whispering sweet platitudes in their ears!

Appropriate points, brothers.

As I read the passage again, I note another point:

the dialogue between our two great Churches of Roman Catholicism and Orthodox Christianity, a dialogue of love, theology and truth – will continue to bear fruit ... and will unite – all Christians.

I got NEWS for you, all of you ecumenist "dialogue of Love and Truth" seekers, who are ever talking about the "noble hope" of "one day uniting all brother and sister Christians." The True Church of Jesus Christ always has been and always will be United in One True Church--for it is written and it cannot be changed nor can it ever be otherwise true than: I Believe in One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. It does NOT say, I believe there will be in some future time One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. We who are True Orthodox Christians have always confessed that We believe in it NOW. That is what the Creed has always stood for on this point. Furthermore, "The prayer of a righteous man availeth much," the scripture says. And Christ prayed, "Father I pray that they might be one, even as We are One." People can leave the church (via schism or heresy) or stay in it. The Historic and True Orthodox Church of Christ however cannot be and has never been divided because the True Sons and Daughters of the Church always recognise each other. The present differences, "disunity", is of no greater a division than what we see in the New Testament where the Holy Apostle Paul wrote about those who say I am of Paul or Apollos or Cephas, and where some (like the Apostle Peter himself) erroneously divided the Church into Kosher and gentile adherents. There have always arisen times of flux and confusion where the True Faithful of the True Church have been scattered, but the Holy Spirit, The Lord, always brings us back into fully visible union eventually once He helps us sort out the differences and confusing issues. But the Early apostolic Church and the apostles themselves though there were surface and temporary divisions or disagreements (mild forms of disunity) were Still ONE True Church, and Undivided -- free from divisions in any real or radical sense; but we witness that such are indeed found among the heterodox and ecumenist World Orthodox who have embraced a host of soul destroying heresies.
