Dr. Seuss' Zooks vs. Yooks & wearable cameras

The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

Dr. Seuss' Zooks vs. Yooks & wearable cameras

Post by Maria »

Perhaps the best way to predict how society will react to so-called wearable computing devices is to read the Dr. Seuss children’s story “The Butter Battle Book.” ...

Well, the Zooks and the Yooks may have nothing on wearable computing fans, who are starting to sport devices that can record everything going on around them with a wink or subtle click, and the people who promise to confront violently anyone wearing one of these devices.

For the complete article, please go to: http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/05/2 ... f=business

One thing is for sure, our privacy is no more even inside our churches or homes.

Whatever we wear, say, or do, can and will be used against us.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

That is just tragic !
This country is going to be punished badly by God for these invasions of privacy, ALL over the place, in so many areas of life.

Whether rowdy partiers who could care less about anyone around them suffering, or this type of sick new device,
this place is surely going downhill FAST !

I didn't read the article on the blog because it is the untrustworthy NYT.
But the idea is clearly out there and all the twisted brains will likely seize onto it.

God protect all the GOOD people from such nasty encroachments on their freedom !

PS Think of all the women who will be blackmailed by malicious people pretending to have a relationship with them,
only to get these incriminating photos. Immediately post them on the internet, or threaten to.

One sick guy was after a girl who didn't care for him, so he threatened her with showing some compromising pictures of herself
to her parents. After that, she married him reluctantly because of respect for her parents' opinions of her.
But had a disaster when he proved a psychopath.

Her son informed her later that those pictures were not even much compared with whatever else is being put on
social sites NOW.
If Fakebook has gotten that bad, then it fully justifies my hatred of it as a despicable invasive thing, deliberately intended to ruin lives,
not help anyone as the media often tries to insinuate with supposedly touching stories of long lost people/relatives found through Fakebook.
Fine, but what about the degradation of society that is happening due to the use of social sites ?
And WORSE sites, too.
Even so = called
Christian dating sites are hunting grounds for creepy predators and con-men.
