From the Rocor-MP website coverage of the MP's service in Holy Protection Cathedral, a famous landmark now being used as church at least for this visit
on May 9 2013.
Note that Archpastors of Rocor WHO went back to the Soviet Union, such a Met Victor, Met Melety [I think ?], Met Nestor of Kamchatka - what is this new
title ? Must be his assigned Soviet diocese ! -
and -
Met Philaret [Vosnesensky]'s father, Archbishop Dimitry of Hailar are all included.
So was Archimandrite Veniamin who was first a good friend then a bitter and jealous rival of Met Philaret.
But where is the latter listed among the Archimandrites [his rank at the time of his service in Harbin, before being consecrated Bishop of Brisbane, Australia
in Sydney shortly after he emigrated there from Harbin.
We all know how popular HE was with the Soviet snoops trying to control the Russian expatriate community ! Apparently, his refusal to take a Soviet passport
still bothers the MP characters to this day ??
Is there some other reason our Saint would not have been included here in this list ?
It says : DEPARTED, and certainly Met Philaret qualifies as that.... hmmn!
Interestingly, Abbesses Rufina and Ariadna ARE included, though the 2 were vociferously anti-Soviet.
