I dont think that stating catergorically that the world is round consitutes pride. However please read the essay that I posted which supplies all the evidence needed to understand what some have called the Second October revolution.

WOW - your welcome greeting was a bit, er, shall I say, Tongue-Fu.
I can appreciate your passion. I don't claim to know all about the History of the Russian Orthodox Church. My concern is getting right with God. I have left the apostate Lutheran Church that openly preaches heresy. Tell me, Theophan, why the forum members Liudmilla and Benjamin take exception to the link that you provide. Your screen-name has GOC - maybe you're Greek Orthodox...I am joining the Russian Church.

The Moscow Patriarchate was founded by Joseph Stalin with the help of Met Sergius who had fallen away from the Church in 1927 through his infamous declaration in which he stated the joys of the Soviet Antichrist were the joys of Christ Himself! The majiority of the Russian Church (which was murdered or fled to the catacombs) did not go along with him and neither did ROCOR. You can read about it here-

Remember that ROCOR declared ALL the Soviet "Patriarchs" to be uncanonical OFFICALLY.
However the ROCOR that was a beacon of Light in the darkness of apostasy was taken over by the KGB (that was always an aim of theirs and to think otherwise is to be utterly foolish) who struck at the Octobor sobor of 2000 and drove out Met Vitaly who many believe to be a saint and begged the Serbian Patriarchate which is heavily involved in false ecumenism to help them patch things up with the Soviet Church (prior to that both sides had always called each other schismatics at the best). There is evidence that hopefully Deacon Nicolai will be able to present to you that Patriarch Alexis II was (is) a KGB agent.
ROCOR continued under Met Vitaly and the Russian Church inside of Russia continued in the various Catacombnik cells and in ROAC which Archbishop Mark (again there is strong evidence to suggest that he is a KGB agent) had thrown out of ROCOR in 1994 (which was probably a blessing for them as in that year ROCOR entered into Communion with the so-called Synod in Resistance, an Old Calendarist group in Greece founded by a defrocked clergyman which holds that the New Calendar schismatics, Sergianists and false ecumenists are all still in the Church).
They object to the link possibly because it is a thorough examination of the KGB psycho-politics that have been used to destory ROCOR. The proof of the pudding is in the eating- ROCOR no longer struggles aganist the World Council of Churches or Soviet power. Read it or at least scan it briefly and than make your own mind up.
Remember that around 80 million Orthodox Christians were martyred at the hands of the satanic power that now controls both the MP and "ROCOR" under Met Lavr.

Welcome to this group, it is perhaps not the best place to come seeking answers to your questions. There are many opinions in this debate, some for and (on this site) many against ROCOR-L, some very harsh and some very difficult to navigate through.. There are other places where you might find friendlier answers regarding ROCOR or ROCOR-L as many refer to my jurisdiction.
You need to be aware of many very elitist attitudes, a great many holier-than-thou stances and generally an attitude of they are wrong and I am right.
THERE ARE NO EASY ANSWERS and each person must determine where GOD is leading them. Prayer is the best route for that.
Times are messy for the Church and there are many who would make the waters even murkier.
Might one ask where you are located?
