ECUMENISM & MODERNIZATION

Post by PFC Nektarios »

CHRIST IS BORN!

When is this Ecumenism and Modernization ever going to stop? I had a long talk with a friend in the OCA, oh my. If things are going to end up they way the OCA is were all going to be Protestant and Heretics just like the papist and the protestants.

I am not even Orthodox yet, and I already am sadden by all these things.
Especially after reading "The Rush to Embrace" and "The Balamand Agreement: Victory for Vatican Diplomacy"

What can we do, as Orthodox and Future Orthodox (OL) to help put this heresy to the grave?

OrthodoxLearner,

Greetings! My advice to anyone interested in true Orthodoxy is to find

bishops and priests who stand for the truth without compromise. These

bishops and priests can be found in the ROAC without a doubt. They take

alot of flak from everyone, but after talking to them with an open mind

and heart you will see what I am talking about. After many years of

frustration in the confusing religious world in search of true

Christianity, I first crossed off all Protestantism as a contender due

to simple history. Its absolutely impossible for any Prostestant group

to be the true Church. That left Orthodoxy or Roman Catholicism. I

recommend Hans Kung's book "The Catholic Church" to finally dispel

any doubts that they are not the true church {along with many other

reasons}. That leaves Orthodoxy. I believe all "world" Orthodox

churches can be struck off the list due to Ecumenism, Masonry,

Modernism, trampling the canons, etc.... I used to be with the GOA but

even as a convert I was struck with their similarity with the world

Protestants. A GOA priest that was never baptized by triple

immersion told me personally that Buddhists would make it to heaven!

Anyway, call Bishop Gregory or Fr. George at their monastery and

and you will be impressed by their love for the lost and their logic.

Code: Select all

                  In Christ, marco polo :)

P.S. This is how we can combat the world: band together with true

Orthodox and never give in to the world's ways , i.e. "the little

things". Hope this helps!

The reason I am joining the Antiochian Church is because this specific priest is a "traditionalist" and was approved my ROCOR Spiritual Father as you guys have heard me before in other posts. I will also be recieved my the Mysteries of Initation.

I will only be at the parish, for 6 months because I am going to bootcamp, then Hopefully after I get out after my 3 months of vocation at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego  (Vacation? I wish!) I wil be near
a Serbian, JP or ROCOR parish. I am not intrested in the ROAC or the HOCNA or ROCiE.

You say this Antiochan "Priest" is traditional. That is all well and good, but it is important to remember "Where the Bishop is, there is the Church." can you say the same for your Antiochan "bishop."?

What do you mean "Priest" do you believe that the ROAC is the only church, that has Sacarmental Validity in regards to Holy Orders?
