You are incorrect in your statement that most Greek Old Calendar bishops received their succession from a single-bishop consecration. This only applies to the Matthewites. The Florinites received their consecrations from ROCOR. Abp. AKAKIOS (Pappas) was consecrated by Abp. SERAPHIM of Chicago (ROCOR), and Abp. THEOPHILOS of Detroit (ROCOR). The bishops who later comprised Abp. AKAKIOS' Synod were consecrated by Abp. LEONTY of Chile (ROCOR), and Abp. AKAKIOS. These consecrations were recognized in 1969 by the Synod of Bishops of ROCOR, under the primacy of Metropolitan St. PHILARET, and full communion was established with the GOC. In 1983, ROCOR anathematized Ecumenism.
