I suppose Valentine of Suzdal's days as an MP priest are exempt from scrutiny?
No, I disagree with. But he did repent. He has repented to those he helped to mislead by thinking the MP was the, or part of, the Russian Church. He also repented and asked forgiveness to the Church through ROCOR, who at the time was, still fighting the good fight. Metropolitan Valentine has preached and written much to bring the truth of the Soviet's church into the light.
Does it not seem odd to you that, when bishops seperate from ROCOR for there canonical vilolations (getting involved with anothers diocese) you consider them "outside".
But, if all they did is hand the church over to civil authorities, kill those (directly or indirectly-like St. Basil of Kineshma), establish a partiarchate uncanonically with the help and support of the god-haters, going the WCC, sell tobacco, liquor and information on parishoners and tourists (let us stop here for now) you consider them "part of the Church"
Will, they started out wrong, and until they repent, and submit to the Church, they are still wrong.
I agree with your quote "Fallacies do not cease to be fallacies because they become fashions." - G.K. Chesterton
