Bogo,
Of course that would mean a passionate kiss, not a kiss of friendship. There are people in our synod I know who have been excommunicated for 6 months and more.
I am SO going to hell.
Hi Every body I'm new to this great forum I've recenty converted to Orthodox Christianity in 2000. 1. Please excuse me I'm Not trying to be Mr.know it all but from what I've learned an Orthodox Christian can not marry a nonOrthodox ,it was alowed in the early dayz of the church by the Apostles because the Church was still growing, but after I think it was eighther the forth or fifth Ecumenical conciel the Church stopped the practice of alowing Bapyized Orthodox Christians to marry pagans. 2. Homosexuality is moraly/physicaly wrong homosexuality is condemed in the Old Testament and in The New Testament it is condemed 1 Corinthians ch.6 v 9 but in a lot of the King James versions the protestants have ommitted it.
Homosexuality is not a sin. However, Homosexaul acts are clearly sinful and condemned. I think there is a difference between homosexaulity and homosexual acts. People, whether born homosexuals or not, do not choose to be homosexuals, it is something they did not ask for. And how can a condition or a inclination that we did not invinte into our lives condemn us? However, homosexual acts are sinful, one chooses to do such actions that are contrary to the law of Almighty God. I think all Christians must understand that Homosexuality is a long and difficult struggle that is hard to handle. I know so many who could not bare it, and have failed, immersed in sin of every kind. We must be supportive of those struggling with this huge burden and aid them with our prayers and encouragement. And I think it is important that we do not chase them off by saying "Homosexuality is a sin" or "Homosexuals go to Hell", or anything like that. Because honestly, there are thousands of Homosexuals trying to live a holy life in Christ, and there are so many who do live holy lives, some give up, but some don't, and we must remember this and hope all that have this cross to bare will be given the grace to overcome Satan and all of his works.

Wow, you sure must know a lot of lesbians, far more than I do! Because the ones I have spoken with firmly stated they did not choose to be homosexual, it wasn't an option, its just how they always were. I think it is really a myth that Homosexuals choose to be Homosexuals because they want to or because it is the "popular" thing to do. You would have to be mad to choose to be a homosexual. Overall Homosexuality is still looked down upon, hate crimes are committed against them, and they are often harrassed and taunted by those who believe Homosexuals to be evil, and homosexuality to be a sin.
You would have to be mad to choose to be a goth, to be a punk, to be a geek, to be a Christian during martyrdom, we could go on and show that this theory does not click either. People chose to be any of these groups even if they were picked on for it, laughed at or killed!
The lesbian poll was put out by a lesbian group actually. I was surprised when I heard it to, because I had believed the hype that homosexuals were arguing that it was inborn and none of them called it a choice.

Homosexuality is the action of homosexuals, that define them as homosexuals, so of course it is a sin!
