The one thing I have seen this weekend which leads me to want to remove the thread is this.
What we post here (in a sense) is cast in stone. We can not change the things we write. What I did with this post, which was three people old, was cast into stone a very peculiar situation. I am sorry that this ever occured. When I tried to explain yself and my reasoning this becmae clouded in subject matter. This then gace rise to more minunderstanding and confusuion.
And what in the end are we left with? We are left with a permenant reminder of what ignorance and "the telephone game" can lead to.
Saying this my point is that I need to take some time and get myself in order. For if I am to be baptized and received into Orthodoxy I can not do this here. I can not expect to find faith in front of an electronic console.
I have tried to make this forum a better place for me by posting the Sacred Scriptures and it has done wonders for me. But at this point I think that for me this forum has become a place of trivial arguments and name calling etc. and this is not good for anyone. Some may see this as "educated debate" but is it really? I know it is not good for me, not now, probably not ever... I shall constrict myself to the Sacred Scripture work that I have begun and gaze at times over the other threads, but I cannot at this time see myself conversating on many of these topics so there is no need for me to get angry and offensive as I have these past few days. It's just not right.
If it is easy to cast doubt into stone than I hope that it is also posible to crush that stone wth a hammer and destroy the lies and the slabder on both sides so that others are not scandalized by my actions as a ignorant catechumen.
Matthew 6:15 But if you will not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive you your offences.
Matthew 18:21-22 Then came Peter unto him and said: Lord, how often shall my brother offend against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Jesus saith to him: I say not to thee, till seven times; but till seventy times seven times.
Matthew 18:35 So also shall my heavenly Father do to you, if you forgive not every one his brother from your hearts.
1John 1:7-10 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all iniquity. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
With this I appologize to OL and to all that I have been angry at these past few days over mistakes I myself brought upon myself. I ask that you would please pray for me as I work through these shortcommings and that eventually when God Wills it I shall be seen as aceptable in receiving the Holy Waters of Baptism and acceptance into the Church of Our God and Lord Jesus Christ.
