Timeline Of Resistance By ROAC +Bishop Gregory

Post by Bogatyr »

 I post this with some interest. Aside from the innuendo and jurisdictionalism, there is valuable information here. What I think his Synod can do at this point is to simply show Christian sensibilities and look to put forward a message of conciliation. Blatant rancour will only marginalize it and I think that would be a pity.

I found the historical stuff interesting. But as to the last item on the timeline, which says that ROCOR concelebrated w/ "world Orthodoxy" in Europe: didn't our bishops make it clear that doing so was a mistake, and that it was done without a blessing?

I think that the reason why certain Old Calendarists are not fully understood is because they rely on overemphasizing certain facts which are important, but not at the point of reaching consensus. I think it would do us all well to stress consensus first.
