King Charles viewed as Orthodox-?!

Post by Barbara »

Comment to the post at link below, which author says in a comment is mostly a joke

Yet these rumors have persisted for awhile, but nobody has ever verified them : that Charles converted on Mt Athos

Likewise, another commenter brought up that Sheikh Nazim Haqqani of Cyprus insisted that Charles converted to Islam and that his spiritual father was Martin Lings.
This claim also was considered outlandish and never has been verified. But Sheikh Nazim was a very influential Naqshbandi Order, so probably out of politeness, his Western disciples, of which there were many, especially Germans, did not contest the wild assertion.

Here is Charles with Rocor Met Mark and Archimandrite Roman [Krassovsky] on a pilgrimage visit to the Mt of Olives to see the grave of Princess Alice of Greece at the Rocor Gethsemane Convent

"the only serious Orthodox person in that family is his grandmother Princess Alice.

For the rest... better to stay quiet"
